Mrs. Clifford Gwendolyn (Gwen) Smith Richard was born May 25,1928 in Rapides Parish, Louisiana to Isaac Denon Smith and Lillian Lee Corley. She went to meet our Heavenly Father on Friday, November 1, 2019 in Kenner, Louisiana. Gwen is preceded in death by her husband Charles Lee Richard, daughters Vickie Daly and Nancy MacLean, parents Isaac Denon Smith and Lillian Lee Corley, 5 sisters, Mrs. Hortense King, Mrs. Thettace Veeder, Mrs. Maxine Gass, Mrs. Anita Duke, Mrs. Iris Kelly and 2 brothers Dr. T.C. Smith and William (Billy) Smith. Those left to cherish her beautiful memories are her grandsons Paul Daly (Bridget) and Ben Barker (Tabitha Matthews) great grandson Cooper Barker, son-in-law Jeff MacLean, sister, Mrs. Thelma Amos and numerous nieces and nephews. Gwen loved to tease her family, laugh, have fun and really enjoy life. She will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her. A private service will be held, 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Ball, Louisiana. The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Cheryl, Gwen’s private care taker. “Good night Gracie”.
