

Daniel Joseph Perque July 13, 1951 - May 14, 2010 Daniel, at the age of 58, departed this earthly life after a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer. He entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 8:33 p.m. Daniel leaves behind to celebrate his life, his son and only child, Jeffrey Perque, his mother, Inez Perque, his brothers, Herbert Perque, Sr. (Linda), Milton Perque, Sr. (Sadie), his sister Jeannette Broussard (Ron), 2 nephews, Milton Perque, Jr. (Mindy), and Kevin Perque (Marie), 2 great nieces Alli Perque and Samantha Perque, his best friend Lena Schouest and her family. He was preceded in death by his father, Clerfa Perque and his nephew, Herbert (Boo) Perque, Jr.
For most of his life, Daniel was an avid recreational fisherman who enjoyed not only fishing, but boating along the beautiful scenic waterways of Louisiana. In the past several years, his avocation was photographing these same waterways and their associated wildlife.
Relatives, friends of the family, employees of the Jefferson Parish Department of Water, Banana Republic, Balestra's Food Center, Ragusa's Food Center and Acme Truck Line are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial from WESTSIDE/LEITZ EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Westwego, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 18th from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until funeral time.
