Born on September 5, 1965, Darla lived in Harvey, Louisiana. She was the devoted partner of Wilbert Sturdivant. She was the devoted and loving mother of Makia, Kelci, and Alicia Sturdivant. She was the devoted and loving grandmother of Kaysia, Kai, Skye, and Mason. Darla was the daughter of the late Jeanette Anne Esta and the late James George Dufrene, Sr. She was the cherished sister of Cristy Dufrene and the late James George Dufrene, Jr.
Darla was a chef and loved to cook. She devoted her time and love to her children and grandchildren. To know her is to have loved her. She leaves to mourn her death her partner, her children, her grandchildren, her sister, a host of nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved and cherished neighbor, Mae Francis Frazier.
A Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana.
