Davanna Josephine Tirrito passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the age of 71. She was the beloved mother of Tina Cottaras Birbiglia. Daughter of the late Sebastian and Louise Tirrito. Mother-in-law of Tonio Birbiglia. Grandmother of Anna Birbiglia. Dear friend of the Abrams and Guillot families. She was active in the Westwego Senior Center. Former employee of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Former member of the Gospel Choir at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. She was a native of New Orleans who lived in Chicago and most recently in Westwego. The family would like to especially thank her caregivers at Bayside Nursing Home.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 7:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM.
