Deborah "Tracy" Roberts

Deborah "Tracy" Teresa Kuhns Roberts departed from this world and entered into the Kingdom of Heaven Wednesday, October 8, 2025. She is survived by her soul mate and husband of 36 years, Michael Roberts. She is the Beloved Mother of Michael Benz (Angela, Michael, Gillian, Nyah and Asa), Buttercup Mancuso (Frank, Devan, Haley, Anthony and Alyssa), the late Daniel Sugasti (Wallace), Genieree Sugasti (Sierra, Jonathan, Cadence and Hannah) and Jennifer Sugasti (Derrick, Scott, Kaegan, Brandon and Emma). Debbie was born on August 14th in 1953 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Maureen) Kuhns. The Second of six children, she is Survived by her siblings Sharon, Corlette, Wane (Dora Lee), Jaqueline, and Tina. She was also survived by dozens of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tracy was tirelessly devoted to her family and her passion for helping. She founded several progressive organizations committed to the preservation and restoration of coastal fishing communities across the gulf coast and beyond. She’s been an advocate for those who’ve felt they had no voice. She worked alongside fisherman and elected officials alike to make effective and lasting change for not just her own Fishing Community of Lafitte, La but coastal communities all around the nation. Coastal Restoration and Sustainability for Fishing Families was her Legacy second only to being the Matriarch of a family she loved so fiercely. She will be sorely missed and Never forgotten.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Funeral services that will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lafitte on Saturday, October 18 beginning at 8 am. 8am-Visitation, 10 am Mass with internment immediately following.
