Delores Marie Pitre Hill

Delores Marie Pitre Hill passed away on February 22, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born on September 4, 1937. Delores was a resident of Marrero, Louisiana. She was the loving wife of the late Elvin Walker Hill for 71 loving years. Together they had 7 children: Pamela Basse (Sharkey "Alfred"), Vannie Mouille (William), Cynitha Hill Parria, the late Elvin James Hill (Susan), Darlene Richoux (Glenn), Loria Saucier (the late Kim), and Norma Cabral. Delores is the proud grandmother and great grandmother of numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings Barbara Neidhardt (the late Thomas), Mary Ann Chisesi (Phillip), Rita Schiffman (Jerry), and Rickey Pitre (Pat). Delores is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Delores retired from the Jefferson Parish School Board. After retirement, Delores loved working in her flower beds. Her blooms gave her much joy. To know her was to love her. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services for Delores at 1:00PM on Saturday, February 28th, 2026 at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:00AM and continue until the service time. Delores will be laid to rest at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
