Diane Marie Lassalle Folse

Diane Marie Lassalle Folse, age 74, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, in-law, and aunt, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, of natural causes. She was born on June 23,1950, in Algiers, and was a resident of Lafitte for 38 years. Diane was cherished by her husband of fifty years, Allen G. Folse, sons “Lil” Allen Folse and Danny Folse (Bethany) and grandchildren Sean and Ciara Folse. Adored by her siblings Marie Stanton, Jean Ann Pisciotta, Pierre Lassalle III, Laurie LeCount, and Audrey Couvillion. She was preceded in death by her parents Pierre John Lassalle Jr. and Doris Duggan Lassalle.

Mamma D, as her daughter-in-law called her, was exceedingly generous to all her extended family and especially doted on her grandchildren, whom she called her Tatut and Tatutsie. She was a devout Jehovah’s Witness with a deep abiding faith in Jehovah and his son Jesus and she was well-loved by her congregation. Diane was full of love, joy, laughter, and gave the best hugs. She loved to dance and sing and to watch old movies and shows, but more than anything she loved spending time with her family, who will miss her dearly.

A memorial service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5325 August Avenue in Marrero, Louisiana on Saturday, September 7, 2024 beginning at 12:30 PM for family. A memorial slideshow for Ms. Folse will begin at 1:20PM, with a program to follow at 1:30PM.
