Diedere "Deedy" Harris

Diedere "Deedy" Harris went to meet the Lord on Thursday, June 24th, 2021 at the young age of 53. Deedy was a lifelong native of New Orleans. She was born to the late Willie Mae Harris on May 29th, 1968. Devoted mother of one son Brandon J. Harris and her favorite Daughter in law, Gena Wolfe. Sister of Audrey Ladd, Elray Harris, Monique Harris, Wilbert Selmon, and the late Melissa Harris. Deedy is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Deedy had an infectious personality that captured everyone's attention when she walked into a room. She was outgoing, energetic, comedic, and was a ball of sarcasm. Deedy not only loved her family, but was loving, caring, compassionate, and was always there to lend a hand to others in need. She enjoyed to spend time gambling and sharing drinks with friends. Deedy's heart of gold will not be forgotten.

A Celebration of Deedy's Life will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, July 9th, 2021 in the chapel Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A gathering of family and friends to share memories of Deedy's life will begin at 12:00PM and continue until the service time. Please use the links below to send condolences to her family.
