Earline Victoria Thomas of New Orleans, LA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at home with her family. She was 87 years old. Cherished wife of Henry Thomas Jr. Beloved daughter of the late Victoria Calloway and the late Earl Gaines. Devoted mother to Lois Martin (Ronald Sr. Deceased), Henry Thomas III (Patricia), Valencia Thomas, Lori Crawford (Jimmie Deceased), Rodney Thomas (Althea), Travis Thomas (Cynthia) and Tyrell Thomas. Sister to Fodessa Calloway Cormier. Sister-in-law to Linda Parker (Willie), Gloria Jones and Frieda Jones. Brother-in-law to Alvin Jefferson (Linda) and Robert Jones. Godmother to Lynn Alexander and Frank Christmas. Grandmother to Ronald Martin Jr. (Selena), Derrick Martin, Jade Thomas, Andrea Ward (Quincy), Jimmie Crawford Jr. (Nija), Dominique Thomas, James Brown Jr. and Randell Wilson. Great grandmother to Shawn Lackings Jr., Alaina Ward, Brysen Ward, Kaleigh Morris, Landon Thomas, Eric Janeau Jr., Carmello Boult. Aunt to Lynn Alexander, Brian Alexander, Terrance Cormier (Tina), Melanie Parker, Zenith Parker, Garland Spotts (Nikki), Christopher Spotts and Terry Alvin Jefferson (Marie). She is also survived by a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, close family and friends. She is preceded in death by grandson Traig Thomas, sister-in-law Lorretta Spotts, brother-in-law James Jones and Johnell Jones. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday August 13, 2016 at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero. Visitation from 8:00am until 11:00am. Services start at 11:00am. Interment will be private.
