Eloise Pertuit Tassin

Eloise Pertuit Tassin, a lifelong resident of Westwego, LA entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 21, 2016. "Ellie" is survived by her children James Jr. (Theresa), Chris, and Debbie Autin (Bobby); grandchildren, Tanya Tassin DuBroc, Denny Tassin and Carla DeNicola, Robie Autin and Bobbie Lynn Eccher (Scott); great-grandchildren Shantel Perez, Jamie Lynn Perez and Emily Grace Vicknair, Zachary Autin and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Nolan Pertuit, and sisters-in-law Elsie Pertuit (George) and Mavis Tassin; Godchildren Glen Pertuit and Bonnie Pertuit and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and dancing partner James J. Tassin, Sr. "Crow", her parents Nola Boudreaux Pertuit and Louis Pertuit, brothers Douglas and George "Dorty", also her granddaughter, Raquel Perez and Godchild, Donald Bye.

Ellie was a skilled seamstress, talented artist and designer. She enjoyed designing and making clothes and costumes for friends and family members for years. She even designed and hand-sewn her own wedding dress. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her smile, caring nature, and style will be greatly missed, but she will live forever in our hearts.
