Jan 20, 2021, Enrique Primitivo Chang, a resident of Marrero, LA, went to be with our Lord peacefully in his sleep at his home. He blessed our family and those close to him since his birth Nov 27, 1950. “Uncle Henry” as we called him was an a amazing man who loved to work, travel and serve his family. His life’s work was that of a GM of a local grocery store, Casey Jones, for 37 years in Gretna, LA. He enjoyed exercise and was a relentlessly committed fan of his beloved New Orleans Saints. After emigrating to America from Cuba in 1962 as a child of Operation Pedro Pan, he was sent to Sacred Heart Home in Pueblo Colorado. He and his sisters made it to New Orleans where he became a lifelong resident.
Henry Chang is proceeded in death by his parents Enrique and Delia Chang. Henry is survived by his 2 children, Heather Renee Chang and Henry Michael Chang, a stepson Christian Sarcefield and 2 grandchildren Destiny & Donovan Hunter Sarcefield. He also is survived by his endearing sisters Maria Carmen Jones and Maria Carbajal.
Henry will be buried at West Lawn Memorial Park cemetery.There will be a private funeral for family.
