Felix Carlos Alfonso Jr.

Felix Carlos Alfonso, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 22nd, 2021 at the age of 90. He was a lifelong resident of Gretna, Louisiana born to the late Felix Alfonso, Sr. and Bertha Wilcox. He was the husband of Terri Couvillion Alfonso for 9 loving years.

He was the father of Lionel Guidroz (Joyce), Brenda Alfonso, Ignatious Alfonso (Bridgett), and the late Louis Alfonso, Barbara Harris, and Felix Alfonso, III. He is survived by six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was the brother to Carolyn Trupiano and the late Juanita Spera. Brother In Law to Keith Couvillion (Audrey) and Son In Law to Melvin Couvillion. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Felix was an avid gardener who was proud of keeping his lawn pristine and vibrant. He also enjoyed using his hands to work, especially woodworking and crafting.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated with Father Gary Copping at 10:00AM, Thursday, February 4th, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 610 6th Street in Gretna, Louisiana. The visitation will begin at 8:30AM and continue until Mass time. Please send your condolences to www.westsideleitzeagan.com
