Frances Eva Rodi

Frances Eva Rodi left this earth peacefully in her home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the age of 85. She was the beloved wife of the late Jimmy Rodi Sr. Loving mother of Jimmy Rodi Jr., Gisele Rodi, Frances Rodi, Steve Rodi, and Travis Bartholomew. Beloved Maw Maw of Sabrina, Johnny, Alec, Elijah, Ezekial, Blake, Jake, Tabitha, Barry, Bailey, Jene’, Joseph, Mallory, and Gabrielle. Survived by siblings Ruby Rodi and Arthur Bartholomew Jr., as well as 11 great grandchildren, Parker, Skylar, Darrin Jr., Talan, Isabella, Ava, Eliana, Blake III, Chloe, Beckham, and Landon.

She was a loving person who would open her heart to anyone who would let her. Her family remembers waking up one day to find a total stranger sleeping on the couch, only to be told “She needed a place to stay.” She loved cooking, and was remembered as a very good cook, which is not surprising since love was her favorite ingredient. Her love centered on her strong relationship with her Lord, Jesus Christ and with his church. She was “Maw” to all who knew her.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Port Sulphur, on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM.
