Freddie Talbert Jr.

Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, Mable Leon and Freddie Talbert, Sr., his sisters, Willie Mae McGowans, Eula Etienne, and Deboriah Bell Woods, and his brothers, Edward and Gerald Talbert.

Freddie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elaine Brooks Talbert, his children, Cheryl Sam (Donnell) of Brandywine, MD, Michelle Lyons (Terry, Sr.), Kevin Talbert (Tracey) of Houston, TX, and Mark Talbert (Nzinga), and his grandchildren, Christopher and Avery Smith, Terry Lyons, Jr., Traenell and Kevin Talbert, Jr., Keitrell Green, and Keirre and Keirahyin Talbert. He is also survived by his sisters, Lonnie Talbert, Nettie Talbert, and Mable Marie James of Fort Worth, TX, and Mary T.J. McGowan, his brothers, Alvin Talbert of Waldorf, MD, and Sterling and Hayward Talbert, four great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, located at 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11 AM. Flowers, cards, etc. may be sent directly to the family.
