Freddie White Jr.

Freddie “Bill” White entered into rest on December 5, 2021, at the age of 91. He was the son of the late Freddie White, Sr., and Bessie Eugene White. Born September 1, 1930 in Labadieville, LA, he was the oldest of 6 children. Freddie is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Carolyn Reed White, children; Glenda, Tameka, Kenneth and Keith; his loving grandchildren, (1) brother, Douglass White (Bernadette); (1) sister Inez White Griffin, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Freddie White, Sr., and Bessie Eugene White, his son Freddie White, III, (2) brothers, Norman White, Stanford Joseph White and (1)sister, Helen White Watson. “Bill” as he was fondly known will be sorely missed by family and friends who loved him most. He was a jokester and great conservationist, but most of all, he was a man of principle who never met a stranger.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Friday, December 10, 2021, for 10:00 a.m. at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, LA. Due to Covid-19, all attendees are required to wear masks. The service will be live streamed via Facebook on the "Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home" page.
