Frederick "Fred" Peter Verdin Sr.

Frederick "Fred" Peter Verdin Sr., of Lafitte, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the age of 77. He was born to the late Gladys Billiot Verdin and Frederick D. Verdin. Loving husband of Anita Autin Verdin for 41 years. Devoted Father of Frederick P. Verdin, Jr. (Jen), Nicole V. Fikes (Timothy), and Brandi L. Verdin. Proud Paw Paw of Keith "Chip" Fitch (Kayla) and Holly N. Verdin, and his great granddaughter Datura "Dottie" Fitch. Brother of the late Lillian Pierre, Earl Naquin, Simon Naquin, Sr., Ernest Naquin, Emelda Streetman, Aline Bergeron, Aggie Naquin, Alice Albarado, Landy Dufrene, Noel Verdin, Gladys Billiot, Gertie Schouest, Walter Verdin, and Milton Verdin, as well as his brothers in Christ; Leo Kerner, Larry Kerner, Willie Kerner, Reggie Kerner, Thelma Kerner, and Timmy Kerner, Sr. Fred is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many many friends who will miss him dearly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 2653 Jean Lafitte Boulevard in Lafitte, Louisiana. The visitation will begin at 10:30AM and continue until the Mass time. Interment will take place following the Mass at St. Pius X Mausoleum in Crown Point, Louisiana.
