

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joann Bordelon Pitre. He is the loving father of Shannon Enclade (Michael), Gerald Joseph Pitre, III (Tricia), James Naquin, Jr., Jennifer Plaisance (Alton), Jacqueline Naquin. He is the loving grandfather of Victoria Enclade (Paiton), Michael Enclade, III (Maegan), Gerald Pitre, IV (Jessie), Justin Pitre, Arthur Plaisance, Jaceline Naquin. Gerald is the beloved great-grandfather of Andi Kate Laiche, Brinley Mahler and Michael Enclade, IV. Gerald would have been the proud great-grandfather of two new babies in January 2025, Mylan and Kameron. Gerald is also survived by his first wife Jeannie Enclade.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Joseph Pitre, Sr., and Marie Orgeron Pitre Guidroz.
Gerald loved playing football, wrestling, playing cards, fishing and watching the New Orleans Saints on TV. His favorite pastime was enjoying a drink and it didn't have to be a special occasion. He loved entertaining at seafood boils and spending time with his family.
Gerald worked at George Engine as a mechanic for many years and retired from Restlawn Cemetery.
To honor Gerald's memory, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, Louisiana on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 11:00AM. Parlors will be open Friday from 8:30AM-9:00AM for immediate family, and for friends from 9:00AM until Mass time. Interment will be held at St. Pius X, Crown Point, Louisiana.
