Gloria Theresa Graff Alombro went Home peacefully on Thursday, March 4th 2021 at age of 90. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Louis and Gladys Roesch Graff. She was the loving wife of the late Clarence J. Alombro, Sr. for over sixty years. She was the devoted mother to Gloria T. Willoz (the late Jake), Clarence J. Alombro, Jr. (Paula), Lois A. Venable (Steve), Brenda A. Matherne (Bobby), Mark M. Alombro (Darlene), Carmelita M. Laurent (the late Layton,Jr.), Romel L. Alombro, Sr. (Cherie), and the late Michael L. Alombro. She was the loving and devoted grandmother to twenty two grandchildren and thirty eight great grandchildren. Sister to Shirley Heigle and Norma Rose Smith, and the late Mercedes Albro, Bernice Gallagher, Lloyd Graff, and Wilbert Graff. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Gloria was the happiest when cooking, knitting or crocheting, and being surrounded by her loving family. Wherever she could find a Bingo hall, she and her sisters tried their luck together. She was a member of the Out For Fun Club for over fifty years, where she enjoyed being around all of her friends. Gloria was a wonderful mother who worked very hard to provide for her family. Gloria will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the love, support, and care shown by Concerned Care Hospice throughout Gloria's sickness. A special thanks to her nurse, Tootsie.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 9th, 2021 at 2:30PM, in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. The visitation will begin at 10:00AM until service time. Interment will remain private.
