Guy Joseph Adams

Guy Joseph Adams passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 5:05 PM at the age of 93. He was a native of Lockport, LA and a resident of Westwego for the past 48 years. Beloved husband of the late Laura Hebert Adams; Father of Lola Adams Hernandez (the late Benjamin Nicholas Hernandez); Grandfather of Robin Hernandez Kramer (Chad); Son of the late Alphonse J. Adams and Ezolean Ougel Adams; Brother of Guthrie J. “Gus” Adams (Elmira), and the late Alvin J. Adams (Nettie). Survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the VFW and American Legion, and served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his friends and loving family.

Relatives and friends of the family, as well as employees of Celotex Corporation, Fifth District Savings Bank, Ochsner Clinic North Shore, and Community Coffee, are invited to attend the services. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Westwego on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, from 8:00 AM until 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery.
