Helena Mary Oncale

Helena Mary Oncale, age 90, of Luling, Louisiana went into Eternal rest on Thursday, December 9, 2021. Helena was born in Bordelonville, Louisiana on January 5, 1931, to the late Arnold and Etta Armand Rachal. She was married to Clarence Lloyd Oncale before he passed away in 1992. Devoted mother of Ardine M. Jones (Buddy), Blane L. Oncale (Cathy), and Joel P. Oncale (Megan). Helena is survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Sister of Terrell Rachal (Gilda). Helena is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Helena is preceded in death by one grandchild, Christopher Onclae and her brother Haston Rachal.

Helena was born and raised on a farm as a young Cajun girl, where she learned to raise a family. Raising her family is what she spent her lifetime doing. She was dedicated to her family and put in long hours of work helping her husband build houses to earn extra income to support the family. She enjoyed traveling, especially in the family motorhome with her late husband. Every afternoon, at 3PM, you could catch Helena enjoying her afternoon dripped coffee. Helena was a devout Catholic, she was a parishioner of both St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and Holy Family Catholic Church of Luling, Louisiana. Helena was a wonderful woman who's memory will be cherished by all who were lucky enough to know and love her.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:30PM on Tuesday, December 14th, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling, Louisiana, 155 Holy Family Lane in Luling, Louisiana. Father Stephen Dardis will officiate the Holy Mass. A visitation will begin at 11:00AM and continue until the Mass time. Interment will follow at St. Charles Mausoleum in Luling, Louisiana.
