James Lee Jaycox

James Lee Jaycox passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024, at the age of 83. He was born in Smithdale, MIssissippi to the late James Roosevelt Jaycox and the late Gladys Gill Jaycox. He was married to the late Angie G. Jaycox for 54 years. Father of James J. Jaycox (Rita) and Michael R. Jaycox (Rose). Paw of Jennifer Jaycox (Trey), Kristyn Jaycox, and Michelle Jaycox. Brother of the late Betty Moore and Brother In Law of Eddie Moore. Uncle of Debbie Hayes and the late James Moore. Great Uncle of Matthew Hayes. James is also survived by his extended Wilkinson Family in Mississippi.

James and his father owned a mechanic shop, Jaycox & Sons, where they worked together on cars until he was drafted into the military. In 1963, James was drafted into the United States Army. After serving, James went to work at New Orleans Armature Works, Kencoil, and retired from A & H Armature. After his retirement he went to work for Shadow Lake Management. In his spare time, he loved to go on walks around the neighborhood to enjoy the fresh air and greet his neighbors. James will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
