James George Monson Jr. died October 30, 2020 at the age of 82. He leaves behind a wife, Kaye Bell Monson; 2 sons James G. "Trey" Monson III (Colleen) and Robert K. Monson (Deborah); a daughter Dena K. Monson; 5 grandchildren Peyton, Christian, Kirk, Wyatt, and Corbin; 6 siblings Mary Stelly (Merlin), Diana Trosclair (Charlie), Richard Monson (Claire), Doreen Pitre, Lynda Parker (Jack), Kathy Dufrene (Ronald). He was preceded in death by his parents James G. Monson Sr and Ursula Biri Monson; 1 sister Ursula Abadie; 2 brothers in law Carroll Abadie and Raymond Pitre.
Born and raised in New Orleans/Westwego, and was a long time resident of Baton Rouge, but returned to Westwego after the floods of 2016. He was a long time member of Dreams Come True and the Cajun Classic Chevy Club.
