She was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles “C.J.” Stansbury. She was the loving mother of Brian Stansbury, Sr. (Gayle) and Lynn Orgeron (Earl). She was the devoted grandmother of Brian Stansbury, Jr., Kelly Allemand, Eric Orgeron, Evan Orgeron, and Lauren Orgeron. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren. Joan was the daughter of the late Lelia and Felix Theriot. She is also survived by one sister, Mildred Barrios.
She loved traveling, going out to eat and visiting the casinos.
The family would like to thank the staff of Methodist Hospice in Memphis for the compassionate care and love they showed to Joan and their family. We will always be grateful.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society are preferred.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a graveside funeral service on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna.
