Joey Gerard Guidry passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Friday Morning, January 3, 2014. He was 47. Beloved husband of Paula Jo Green Guidry. Father of Brittani Nicole Guidry and Michael Anthony Guidry. Son of E.J. Guidry, Jr. and the late Wanda Sonnier Guidry. Also survived by three brother-in-laws and three sister-in-laws, and eight nieces and nephews. He was a native Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi, and resident of Marrero for 34 years, and was a graduate of John Ehret High School. He was a past employee for what is now Kinder Morgan and the Jefferson Parish Levee District, and a member of Marrero Masonic Lodge #479 and Jerusalem Shrine. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from Westside Leitz-Eagan, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Monday Morning, January 6, 2014 at 11:00. Visitation will begin at 9:00. Interment of his ashes will be held in Westlawn Memorial Park on Friday, January 10, at 1:00 in the afternoon.
