Mr. Joseph George Nunez Jr.

Joseph George Nunez, Jr., age 62, entered into eternal and peaceful rest with the lord on June 8, 2013. Beloved husband of Beverly Chauffe Nunez and father of Joshua Nunez (Kelly), Justin Nunez (Rosita), and the late Joseph Nunez, III. Grandfather of Tyler, Stephanie, Christopher, Kierstyn, and Anita Nunez, Brian Harris, and Jackie Grisaffe. Great-Grandfather of Tyson. Son of the late Joseph G. Nunez, Sr. and Lucille Guidry Nunez Savoie, and step-son of Albert Savoie. Brother of the late Lisa Savoie Dugas. He was born on February 9, 1951 in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of Avondale. He was a 20 year retired Air Force Veteran who served in Vietnam Era Korea and Desert Storm, as an aircraft mechanic stationed at the 926 in Belle Chasse. He was a 1970 graduate of Archbishop Shaw High School. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass from Westside LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Saturday Morning, June 15, 2013 at 11:00. Visitation will begin at 9:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, or Archbishop Shaw High School.
