Kathryn Ann Arceneaux

Kathryn “Toddy” Giaise Arceneaux passed away on September 24, 2021 at the age of 77. She was born in Marrero, Louisiana on March 26, 1944 to the late Vincent Giaise and the late Mildred Guillot Alex. Loving wife of 45 years to Michael James Arceneaux. Devoted mother of Vince Autin, Sr. (Cindy), Mervin Autin, Jr. and Lisa Morales (Louie). Proud grandmother of Vince Autin Jr. (Angel), Lacey A. Schaubhut (Evan), Abby Autin, Kerry Taravella, Jr. (Alice) and Alyssa Taravella and great-grandmother of Logan Autin, Landon Autin, Sawyer Schaubhut, and Layton Taravella. Sister of Sue Loud (Harry), Joseph Giaise (Linda), Liberte Donato, Ronnie Giaise and the late Lena Sims (Dave), Dinah Wetzel and Angela Giaise. Toddy is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Toddy was a long time member of Des Allemands Mennonite Church. She worked for many years as a Bookkeeper for Breaux Mart, Vince’s Auto Repair and owned/operated Sunny’s Food Mart in Des Allemands. Where there was a will, Toddy made a way, and she didn’t let anything stop her. Toddy was a very strong willed woman who loved to care for her family, friends and pets. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics and playing piano. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for those she loved. Toddy will be greatly missed by all who loved her and were blessed to have known her.

A visitation for Kathryn will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA 70072. Following the visitation will be a committal service at 11:30 AM at Restlawn Park Cemetery and Mausoleum, 3540 US-90, Avondale, LA 70094.
