
Kenneth Neal McDuff Sr., of Harvey, Louisiana passed away peacefully at The Carpenter House in River Ridge, Louisiana on Monday, November 21st, 2022 at the age of 74. He was born on March 5th, 1948 to the late Edna Earl McDuff and Melvin McDuff. His brother Phillip McDuff preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Karen Cortez McDuff, two sons Ken McDuff Jr. (Helen), Chad McDuff, and a step-daughter Kandice Hanks (Dustin). He is also survived by his two sisters Mickey Graves (Jay) and Sandra Harris-Englade (Fritz). He was blessed with five grandchildren; Alex McDuff (Erin), Carli McDuff, Ethan McDuff, Preston Hanks, and Stella Hanks; and step-grandson Jace Weileman. He also had one great grandson, Briggs McDuff. Kenneth is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Kenneth had over a 40 year career at Avondale Steel/Northrup Grumman. Upon retirement he enjoyed building specialty bird houses to give to his friends. He was an avid Saints, LSU, and Tulane fan. He loved spending his weekends at Common Grounds in Gretna.
We would like to thank his dear and devoted friend, Ronald Talley, who spent the last few years helping with Kenneth's care. We would also like to thank the staff at Carpenter House for the great care and compassion they showed Kenny and his family.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, December 2nd, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Church. 4401 7th Street in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:00AM and continue until the Mass time. Kenneth will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Westwego, Louisiana following the Funeral Mass.
