Kevin Bernard Fernandez

Kevin is the loving husband of Natalia Fernandez and father of Daniel Ryan Fernandez. He is the son of Bernard Fernandez Jr. and Anne Fernandez. Brother of Randall Fernandez (Mary), Melanie Fernandez, and Amy Fernandez (Tom). Loving uncle of Craig Basciano, Paul Fernandez, Gavin Fernandez, Lauren Fernandez, and Zoe Ledoux. Son-in-law to Renato Basurto and Maria-Luz A. Basurto. He was known as "Uncle Kevin" by his extended family and friends.

Kevin served as a Deputy Sheriff for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office for six years and as a Senior Patrol Officer and Crime Scene Technician for twenty years.

He greatly enjoyed his final assignment as an investigator with the Jefferson Parish District Attorney's Office. Kevin loved to fish, play pool, watch Real Madrid soccer team, and Ole Miss Rebels. He will be remembered for his kind spirit and loyalty to friends and family.

A visitation will be held in the parlor at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy, Marrero, LA 70072, on Saturday November 7, beginning at 10AM. A catholic mass will take place in the parlor at 1PM, followed by inurnment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA 70001.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to Ochsner Cancer Center.
