Kristin Theodora Nielsen entered peacefully into heaven on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, a retired research biologist for The Veterans Administration Medical Center in New Orleans for 24 years. She was 81, born in New Orleans, LA and lived in Terrytown for 48 years. A graduate of St. Mary’s Dominican High School and of Tulane University. She was a parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Loving daughter of the late Martha Graef Nielsen and Robert Nielsen. Sister of Thomas Nielsen (Enid), Joseph Nielsen (Teresita) and the late Brent Nielsen and Joan Nielsen Arnold.
She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church, 535 Deerfield Rd., Terrytown, LA, on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Visitation from 12:00 pm until Mass time.
