Larry Anthony Breaux passed away on February 13, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 75. He was born in Algiers, Louisiana to the late Stanwood and Lucille Breaux. Loving father of Nicole Mills (John) and Magen Mackie (Jared). Proud grandfather of Brayden, Braxton, Wyatt, Brenna, Jackson, Addisyn and Mason. Brother of Randel, Wesley (Denise), Kathy Ancalade (the late Peanut), Bonnie Lee Smith (Mike Lobue, Sr.) and the late Marion Schieffler, Ralph Breaux and Shirley Mayeaux. Loving Godfather of Lee Schieffler, Jr., Melissa Breaux and Kole Landry. Larry is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Larry was a man who truly loved life and the simple joys that made it meaningful. He had a deep love for horses and found great happiness riding in Mardi Gras parades on horseback, celebrating the traditions he cherished. A devoted fan of the New Orleans Saints, Larry rarely missed a game and proudly cheered on his team every season.
Family meant everything to Larry, especially his beloved grandchildren, who brought endless pride and joy to his life. He treasured time spent with them and created memories that will be carried in their hearts forever.
In his quieter moments, Larry enjoyed watching Netflix and classic western movies, often with a good cup of coffee in hand. A skilled carpenter, he took pride in working with his hands. He had a special talent for the finishing touches — the fine details that turned something ordinary into something truly special. His craftsmanship reflected his patience, care, and dedication.
Larry never met a stranger. His warm spirit, easy conversation, and playful sense of humor made everyone feel welcome. A jokester to the very end, he had a way of bringing laughter into any room.
He will be remembered for his love of family, his strong hands and generous heart, and the joy he brought to all who knew him.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his niece, Shannon Biondillio (Dave) for all of her loving care and support during this difficult time.
Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service for Larry on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM. The service will be held at Riverside Baptist Church, 9220 Jefferson Highway in River Ridge.
