

Ledia Mary Boutte Adam went to meet the Lord on Thursday, May 27th, 2021 at the age of 89. Ledia was a native and life-long resident of Lafitte, Louisiana born to the late Wallace and Gertrude "Gertie" Coulon Boutte. She was married to the late Floyd Frank Adam for 60 years. Together they had one son, Floyd Joseph Adam (Deborah Kim). Ledia was the grandmother of Misty Marie Lepine, Michelle Marie Girouard (Justin), and Emma Rebecca Miller (John), and great grandmother of Madeline Marie Girouard and Annalise Delaney Girouard. Sister of Ruphus Boutte (the late Betty) and the late, Shirley M. Perrin (Adam), Russell J. Boutte, Sr., (Margie), and LeAllen J. Boutte (Bonnie). Ledia is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
For over 20 years, Ledia was the cafeteria manager at Lafitte Elementary School. She was a devout Catholic and faithful parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Ledia was a woman of faith and lived her life to serve and care for others. She will always be known for her friendly disposition and giving nature. A strong woman until her last days on earth, Ledia can now peacefully walk with the Lord. She will be missed dearly by all who were blessed to know and love her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A wake will be held on Tuesday, June 1st, 2021 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM and continue on Wednesday from 8:00AM until Mass time. Ledia will be laid to rest with her family at Coulon Cemetery in Lafitte, Louisiana.
