Leroy Joseph Chaisson Sr.

Leroy J. Chaisson Sr. passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Thursday evening, May 30, 2019. He was 76 years old. He was born the son of the late Norbert and Leah Chaisson. Beloved husband of the late Joann Chaisson. Loving faher of Laura Bates (Jimmy), Tina Giovengo (the late Thomas), Phillip Chaisson, Leroy Chaisson (Shannon), and the late Darrell Chaisson. Grandfather of Leroy Chaisson III, Kenny Chaisson, Todd Chaisson, Tiffany Flora, Mandy Giovengo, Thomas Giovengo Jr., Dayna Trainor, Ryan Trainor, and Logan Chaisson. Brother of Carolyn Boudreaux and Peggy Malheit, as well as the late Tony Chaisson, Donald Chaisson, Jerry Chaisson, and Junior Chaisson. He had 22 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Leroy was a proud United States Marine. Leroy worked for Dale's Towing for many years. Leroy loved spending time with his family. He also loved going fishing and going to the casino. He will be missed by all.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at Westlawn Park in Gretna. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
