

Lester Paul Stann, Sr. at the age of 87, passed away on Saturday, April 24th, 2021 at his home in Harvey, Louisiana. Lester survived by his wife Audrey Stann of 65 years. His children Lester Paul Stann Jr., Leslie J. Stann, Don Carmardelle Sr. (Giselle), Anapha Stann-York, Madge Stann-Lueck, and Dawn Stann-Duah. His grandchildren John Bourgoyne III, Patrick Bourgoyne (Godchild), Michael Bourgoyne, Glenn Rolland Jr., Kelly Bourgeois (Dustin), Shelly Benoit (Todd), Stefan Lueck II, William York Jr., Kaleb York Sr., Erika Stann, Tiana Stann, Kayln Lueck, Donte Stann, Phillipe (Ethan) York, Samuel Duah Jr., Samantha Duah, Arianna York, Gabrielle Stann, Amelia Stann, Sommer Jane Duah, Don Carmardelle Jr., Rachel Carmardelle, Julie Carmardelle, Eric and Erica Duah, and Emma Duah. Lester is survived by 21 great grand children. Brother of Rita Barthelemy and Maggie Keese. Lester is preceded in death by his daughters Rose Marie Rolland and Ericka Stann, his mother Amelia Sylve, his brothers Vernon John Stann and Leonard Stann, and his sisters Lolita Duplessis and Doris Stann. Godfather of Kim Johnson and Lisa Sylve. Lester is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Lester worked at Avondale Shipyard for 56 years which later became Bollinger Quick Repair. He was a parishioner of Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Harvey, Louisiana. There he served as an usher for the past 35 years. The family of Lester would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Marie Palmer, Dr. David Hutchinson, and Dr. Bertrand Tillery for their special care and compassion.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Friday, April 30th at 1:00PM at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church, 700 Maple Avenue in Harvey, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana on Friday from 9:00AM to 12:30PM.
