Lillian Hazel Zar Kreger of Lafitte, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, at the age of 99. She was born to the late Steven and Rosette Zar. Lillian was married to the late Joseph P. Kreger for 69 loving years. Loving mother of JoAnne Ronquille (Roland), Joy Roberts (Gary), Hazel Smith (Michael), Sheila Gisclair, Joseph S. Kreger, Sr. (Gay Lynn), and the late Adolph "Dee" Kreger. Lillian was also the proud grandmother of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. Sister of Steven Zar (the late JoAnn), the late Luceria LeBlanc (Percy), Viola Creppel (Eddie), Celestine Falterman (Ralph), Margaret Creppel (Foster), Orleans Andrew (Lurecia) and Rosemae Millet (Charles). Lillian is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30AM on Friday, October 10th, 2025 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 2653 Jean Lafitte Boulevard in Lafitte, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:30AM and continue until the Mass time. Interment will take place at St. Pius X Mausoleum in Crown Point, Louisiana.
