Linda Sue Lyons

Linda Sue Lyons, age 78, of Marrero, LA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Linda was born on March 30, 1947 in Dyersburg, TN to Charles Robert Harper and Sue McRee O'Neil Harper.

Linda's legacy was her faith and her family. She was the beloved and devoted wife of Jack Snyder Lyons for 60 years; loving and adoring mother of Barton Clint Lyons (Charley), Wendy Lyons Allshouse (Matthew), and the late Brandon Paul Lyons. Loving grandmother of Whitney Lyons Reed (Cory), Cory Jacob Allshouse (Aimee), Chelsea Allshouse Sassin (Jeffrey), Garrett Joseph Lyons (Brittney), Britton Reese Allshouse (Erin), Brandon Paul Lyons, Jr. (Alexus), Noah Bryce Allshouse (Sadie), and Seth Michael Lyons. Great grandmother of Jake, Avery, Beau, Sawyer, Duke, Maxton, Gauge, Crew, Emma, Maisie, and Simon.

Linda lived her life by serving others. She was everyone's mom and her house was always filled with children and teenagers. She loved everyone unconditionally and was a listening ear to anyone going through a trial. Linda lived out her faith by being the hands and feet of Jesus. She attended Cross Community Church, formerly Ames Blvd Baptist Church and served with the Quilting Angels Ministry. This beautiful group of women make lap quilts for those individuals in nursing homes and they personally deliver each one. Linda loved being a part of this ministry and they were like family to her. We would like to thank her Church family for their kindness and compassion to not only her, but to all of our family during this difficult time. Linda loved her Church and they loved her too!

A celebration of her life will be held at Cross Community Church, 3233 Ames Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 10:30 AM.
