Lisa Ann Gauthreaux Delahoussaye

Lisa Ann Gauthreaux Delahoussaye, of Houston, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 26th, 2023, at the age of 57. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to June Decker Gauthreaux and the late Nedas J. Gauthreaux. Devoted mother of Dorina Gauthreaux and future son in law, Matthew Vercher, Samantha Delahoussaye, and Avery Delahoussaye. Grandmother of six fur babies, Luke, Thorin, Darcy, Lyra, Manny, and Rue. Loving sister of Marie Fazende (Charles), Betty Gauthreaux, Clay Gauthreaux (Ann), Karen LaChute (Sam), Daniel Gauthreaux (Angelia), Ronald Gauthreaux, and the late Kelvin Gauthreaux. Lisa is survived by the father of her children, Kirby Delahoussaye. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who are left to cherish her memory.

Lisa was a 1984 graduate of West Jefferson High School in Harvey, Louisiana and attended Nicholls State University. Lisa finally landed her dream job with the United States Postal Service. Lisa was outspoken and always colorful with her words, she loved her animals, and always rooted for the New Orleans Saints. She will always be remembered for her witty personality and loving nature.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until the Mass time. Lisa will be laid to rest at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
