She was the beloved wife of William Michael O'Donnell for 38 years; mother of Jennifer Nicole O'Donnell; daughter of the late Delores Zabel and Edwin Marrison; sister of Lonnie Marrison, Loren Marrison, and Lorie Marrison Pinnell.
She loved movies, music, cartoons, family and traveling when she was able to. She also had a deep faith in God, and would spend time every day reading her Bible until she could no longer.
Lorna grew up in Michigan as a country girl. After her parents divorced, she spent most of her childhood on her grandparents' farm, learning how to hunt, fish, farm, and basically live off the land.
In 1984, at the age of 16, Lorna moved with her father, stepmother, twin brother, and sister from Michigan to Louisiana.
Lorna met her husband that same year while working at McDonalds. Later on she became an assistant manager there. She worked there a little over 2 years, but resigned before having her only child. 18 months later, after her daughter was born, Lorna was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
But she would not give up. She fought the battle against MS courageously for many years, but eventually the illness took its toll. Her body simply could not overcome the effects of the disease, and thus she could not continue.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 1:30 PM. Memorial visitation will begin at 10:30 AM.
