Louis R. Sanchez, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. He was the beloved husband of the late Rita Daigle Sanchez. He was the father of Cecilia Bateman, Anthony Joseph Sanchez, Michael Sanchez, Timothy Sanchez, Valerie Arwood, and Louis Richard Sanchez Jr. He was the brother of Rita Legendre Pauve, Adeline Sanchez, the late Mae Knul, Ruth Barrarco, Sedona Ponsteins, Lloyd Sanchez, Raymond Sanchez, and Elmo Sanchez. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was a 4th degree Knight and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 6369, as well as member of Pelaya Caravan #178 Order of Alhambra.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Avondale on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale.
