Louise Ragusa

Louise Laborie Ragusa passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents Josephine Messina Laborie and Louis G. Laborie. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Ragusa and mother to the late Carroll Ragusa Savoie and Ann Ragusa Erbil. She was a loving sister to the late Charles Laborie (Bertha), the late Andrew Laborie (Jenny), the late Eldred Laborie (Wanda), the late Anna Laborie Harvey (William), the late Mary Laborie Donarski (late Art), the late Edgar Laborie (Evelyn), the late Carmelite (late Paul), the late John Laborie (Hilda), Henry Laborie, and her brother and two sisters who resided with her at Our Lady of Wisdom, Louis Laborie (late Lucille), Sr. Elizabeth Ann Laborie, and Sr. Marie Therese Laborie of the Marianites of the Holy Cross Convent.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Julie DeVillier Jones, David DeVillier, Maria DeVillier Carrone and Jen Erbil and her great grandchildren Brandon Carrone, Jace DeVillier, Caleb Levy, and Elizabeth Carrone.

"Weezie" was a most beloved resident of Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare Center for almost 9 years and will be dearly missed by family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 11 am at Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare Center Chapel, 5600 General deGaulle Drive, Algiers, LA. Visitation to begin at gam. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
