

Margaret “Peggy” Elizabeth Munch DiMarco passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday afternoon, December 2, 2016. She was 92 years old. Beloved wife of the late Anthony T. DiMarco Sr. Loving mother of Frank DiMarco (Doris), Rosalie Brown (Steven), William “Billy” DiMarco Sr. (Evelyn), Anthony DiMarco Jr., and Ellen Guillot (the late Vernon). Grandmother of Darren DiMarco (Rachel), Kurt Brown (Shelia), Jason DiMarco (Beth), Allyson Guidroz (Jerry), William DiMarco Jr. (Brooklyn), Thomas Guillot (Melissa), Derek DiMarco, Justin Guillot (Katie). Great-grandmother of Valentina, Victoria, Connor, Brennan, Kyle, Bailey, Ella, Tucker, Kristin, Randy Jr., and Alaina. Daughter of the late William and Augustine Munch. Sister of the late Mary Berthelot, Robert Munch, William Munch, Amelia Munch, Stella LaBiche, David Munch, Eddie Munch, and Mildred Gros. Sister-in-law of Winnie Munch, Delta Munch, Mary Bourge, Idola DiMarco, and Vincent Albarado. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives. Peggy was a native of Westwego and has been a resident of Marrero since 1946. She was a charter and former member of La Femme de Maison for 32 years. She joined the Triple H Club in 2008, and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 6793 and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 206. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Parish for the entirety of her life, where she was a former member of the Ladies Alter Society. Peggy enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking, and especially spending time with her loving family and friends. She always loved to host family and friends and never met a stranger. If you told her you loved her, she would reply “I love you more.” The family would like to thank her doctor, Dr. Patricia Estrada, for her love, care, and concern in going above and beyond, as well as the staff of West Jefferson Medical Center. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR, 146 Avenue A, Westwego, on Monday afternoon, December 5, 2016 at 1:00. Visitation will take place at WESTIDE LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 10:00, and on Monday morning at church from 10:00 until 1:00.
