Maria Antonia Diaz, age 77, was called Home on Monday, October 3, 2016. Loving mother of Delphi B. Capote (Jesus Capote Sr.), Clyde F. Brown Jr.(the late Donna Owens Brown), Perla Interiano (Leonard Interiano), Donna Brown and James Brown Sr. Proud grandmother of Tammy Perkins Gisclair (Shane Gisclair), Angelia Bruce (Mickey Bruce Jr.), Christopher B. Ramos (Heather Ramos), Jesus A. Capote Jr., Vanessa M. O. Capote, Frankie Brown, Joshua Brown, Makaylynn Brown, Veronica Interiano, Leonard Interiano Jr., James Brown Jr. and the late Melissa Interiano. Beloved great grandchildren, Brittany M. Gisclair, Blaine T. Gisclair, Mercedes Bruce, Marissa L. Bruce, Jonathan Bruce, Jacob Interiano, Coby Savoie, Destiny Savoie, Drake Landry, Serena Brown, Mayce Brown, Jesus Capote III, Jazzlina Capote and the late Makayla Interiano.

Daughter of the late Jose Maria Monrreal and Arcelia Cepeda Monrreal. Sister of Minerva Rubalcava and the late Refugio Monrreal, Maria Ford, Beatriz Cruz, Elvira Ramos, Angelina Miller, Maria Elena Vasquez, Sara Salinas, Consuelo Solis and Juan Monrreal.

Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews other family and friends. Maria is finally at peace dancing in Heaven with the Lord. She will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Westside Leitz-Eagan, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the services. Interment will take place at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale.
