Maud Marie Carmouche passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the age of 92. She was the beloved wife of the late Rene Louis Carmouche Sr. for 33 years. Mother of Gail Ruiz (the late Johnny), Rene Carmouche Jr. (Cheryl), Penne Licciardi (David), and the late Warren Carmouche. Grandmother of Bonnie Baker, John Ruiz, Cheryl Ruiz, Charles Ruiz, Theresa Ruiz, Jeffery Carmouche, Jason Carmouche, Jonathan Carmouche, David Licciardi, and Joshua Licciardi. She was the daughter of Eddie and Edna Leblanc Vedros, and sister of Severin Vedros, Edward Vedros, Geraldine Loycano, and Earl Vedros. She is also survived by a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Bridge City. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She was very involved in her church, Holy Guardian Angels Church in Bridge City. She was a regular volunteer with the Bridge City Gumbo Festival, St, Joseph Alter, The Women's Club, and many more activities in the life of her church. She was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith. Throughout her years, she developed many deep friendships as she was an outgoing, friendly person. Her life was really about her faith, her church, and her family.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at her Church, Holy Guardian Angels in Bridge City on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 12:30 PM. Visitation will be at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, starting at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Westwego. Mrs Maud was a wonderful Mother in Law and after my mother passed away, she was then my second Mother who treated me like her own daughters. Thank you for loving me. You got your angel wings.
