Melvin John Alexie, Sr. passed away on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the age of 79. He was the beloved husband of Loretta Alexie. He was the father of Robert Wade (Theresa), as well as the late Wayne Alexie (Patricia), and John Alexie. Grandfather of Amanda, Zach, Christi, and Jessica, as well as great grandfather of Kaylee, Aiden, and Carolena. He was the brother of Leon, Jules, Lillian, Joan, Patricia, Ann, Janet, and Chris, as well as the late Phillip, Raymond, Adolph, Mercedes, Mildred, Beatrice, and Alma. Son of Phillip and Eleanor Alexie.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale. Express condolences at
