Michael “Big Mike” Wayne Ashcroft, age 43, of Luling, LA died on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. He was born to Sue Ellen Harrell Ashcroft and Donald “Don” Ashcroft on September 21, 1970 in Baton Rouge, LA. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends. “Big Mike” loved his 2 nephews; Nicholas Lee Buckley and Christopher Mark Buckley. Mike graduated from Springfield High School in 1989. He then attended Delgado Culinary School. He was married to Tonya Kae Lee.
The majority of Mike’s career was spent in logistics and most recently in customer service at Galata Chemicals. His passion was cooking. He enjoyed cooking and entertaining for his family and friends. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 5:00 PM.
