Michael E. Shields passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 78. He was married to Carolyn Danos Shields for 36 years and together as a couple for 50 loving years. Michael was the devoted father of his only daughter, Kendra Donohue. He was the the son of the late Walter and Marielle Verlander. Brother of Scott Shields Greenberg (Stephen) and the late Sandy Shields Landry (the late Preston). Brother In Law of Peggy Duplantis. Uncle to Brittan Greenberg White, Jordan Greenberg, and Madisan Greenberg Bender (Brett), as well as his great nieces Hadley and Holland White. Michael is also survived by other relatives and many friends, including his dear, lifelong friend James "Jim" Humphries.
