

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. To those who loved her she was called “Meme”. Her favorite thing was to sing to her great grandchildren, “I love you a bushel and a peck with a hug around the neck and you make my life a wreck.”
Muriel was a great cook, loved the New Orleans Saints and she loved to spend time tending her plants and flowers. During her life she enjoyed sewing, singing, listening to her many wind chimes, and playing “Spider Solitaire”. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Marrero. Muriel had also been active with several para-church groups, specifically Yokefellow, Faith at Work, and Home Bible Studies.
She is survived by her husband Emmet A. Foxworth of 64 years, children Allen Foxworth, his wife Lorna H. Foxworth, Steven Foxworth his wife Melia B. Foxworth and Tammy Foxworth Carter her husband Delton Carter. She had 7 grandchildren, Jessica F. Badillo (Sami), Stefanie F. Kitterlin (Derek), Steven Foxworth (Melanie), Caleb Foxworth (Sarah), Austin Carter (Andrea), Alyssa Carter and Jared Foxworth (Ashley). She also had 11 great grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by parents, Cyril A. and Denise Caillet; sisters, Leola Madere, Lois Baudouin, Florence Madere, Hazel Millet, Shirley Mae Lambert, Helene Marie Caillet Baudouin and brothers, Cyril Caillet, Jr., P.V. Caillet, and Odell Caillet.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Marrero, 4001 7th Street, Marrero, LA 70072 from 10 to 11 with the Celebration of Life immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to First Baptist Church of Marrero.
