Myrtle Ruth Aguilar

Myrtle Ruth Giordano Aguilar entered into eternal rest with Our Lord and Savior on December 23, 2025 at the age of 83. The daughter of the late Victor Perez Girodano and Myrtle Ruth Price Giordano, she is survived by her children Glenn Aguilar (Tammy), Kevin Aguilar (Kristi), and Alex “Ike” Aguilar (Renee); her grandchildren Kaci Treadaway (Chad), Kaleigh Porcelli (Matt), Kami Magliolo (Josh); Ian, Anna, and Alaina Aguilar; Justin (Chau), Thomas, Crista, and Anthony Ribando; Ariel Barker (Brandon), and Starla Aguilar. She also leaves 10 great grandchildren with another on the way, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Myrtle was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Alex "Ike" Anthony Aguilar, Jr.; her cherished daughter Lisa Aguilar; her grandson, Alex Aguilar, IV; and her siblings Victor Giordano and Maxine Domangue.

Myrtle was a homemaker and an office manager, and an active participant in her church and bible study groups. She graduated from Martin Behrman High School and enjoyed being a Behrman Bee. Her Friday Night Gang friend group still meets to this day, including her dear friend Laura Lasserre who loved Myrtle like a sister and is a gift to the family.

A Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m., both at Calvary Baptist Church, 2401 General DeGaulle Dr., Algiers, LA 70114.
