Nghia Trung Trang

Nghia Trung Trang passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at the age of 56. He is survived by his wife, Thao Trang, and his four children, David Trang, Mc Trang, Sophia Trang, and Alice Trang. He is also survived by his daughter in law, Jessica Trang and his grandson, Silas Trang. He was a hardworking, kindhearted man who never took a day off. Spending over 25 years at Chet Morrison Inc, he not only impacted the lives of his coworkers and customers, but also the people he considered family.

Immigrating from Vietnam in the early 90s, he was given the opportunity to make a life for himself in a new country. He met his wife, established a long standing career, had and raised four children, impacted the lives of those around him, and left a legacy that his loved ones would never forget. He will be remembered as a hardworking, generous and stubborn man.

Nghia was a man who loved his family. He was a man who enjoyed fishing and nature trails and the beach. He was a man who planned to do so much more. Most importantly, he is remembered by his children and wife for his love of Hawaiian shirts and sunglasses. The family asks if you can, please wear a Hawaiian shirt in honor of him when attending the gathering.

A time of gathering will be held on Friday, September 25 at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in Marrero, Louisiana from 8AM to 9:00PM. Additionally, the family will have an additional prayer service at 7AM on Saturday, September 26. At 8AM, the service will be moved over to Metairie Crematory for cremation.
