Norris Richard Volion, beloved husband of Blanka Bäumler Volion for 58 years, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the age of 82. Father of, Richard Volion (Ursula), Barbara Santini (the late Michael), David Volion (Lydia) and the late Janet Volion. Grandfather of Troy, Ashley, Janet, David, Aimee, and Michael Jr. Great grandfather of Star, Blanka, Alissa, Aliya, Jeremy, and Brittany. Son of the late Bluette and Ferdnan Volion. Brother of Daniel (Mae), as well as the late Ernestine, Thomas, Dorothy, Ferdnan, Adline, and Lawrence. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion 344, Lafitte Yacht Club, and served in the US Army for 10 years. He was a native of Garyville and resident of Lafitte for 37 years. Proprietor of Voleo’s Seafood Restaurant in Lafitte. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lafitte on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 1:00 PM.
