Odile Thompson Ancar entered into eternal life to her heavenly home on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 6:30 PM at the age of 95. A life long resident of Grand Bayou, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, the late Russell Thompson; Her parents, the late Omar and Georgiana Ancar; and sister of the late Clement, Johnny, Lazard, and Orelia Ancar. Mother of the late Leroy and Manuel Ancar and Annette Casbon. She is survived by her children, Louis Thompson (Rosalita), Theresa Reyes (Dwight), Amae Stewart (Terry), Mary Bartholomew (Mitchell), Dail Sylve (Norris), and Vanasa Bartholomew (Jeffrey). She is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, and 17 great great grandchildren; a Godchild, Jim Phillips; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on December 22, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Port Sulphur, LA at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Bartholomew Cemetery, Diamond, LA. Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
